If you're into rendering digital art using 3D models in DAZ Studio, you're probably already aware that the newest Genesis / Victoria models have been released.
There's even more to be excited about. The latest version of DAZ Studio has also just been released, and includes improvements to the Iray rendering engine.
The Victoria models have reached version 8. The Genesis product is on its fourth iteration, but the powers that be at DAZ Studio have decided to start using the same version numbers for both Genesis and Victoria, so the latest Genesis product is now referred to as Genesis 8, skipping over versions 4, 5, 6, and 7.
Below is my first render of Genesis 8 / Victoria 8 using the latest release of DAZ Studio. I applied some custom morphs to Victoria's face, so my render wouldn't look exactly the same as the renders of Victoria 8 that everyone else does.
DAZ claims that Victoria 8 is highly backward compatible. I tested out this theory by dressing Victoria 8 in an outfit designed for the first-generation Genesis model. I think it worked out rather well. What do you think?
